The Long Weekends have gone, but the Wet Weather has Arrived!

With the change of season brings us some issues, with some severe shortages coming through, Cauliflowers are very short, up to $10 each! They will come back as supply will improve, but there will be a week or two of pain.

Broccolini is short, Stringless Beans, Spring Onions, Asian Vegetables, Broccoli, and the list goes on, you have to appreciate someone has to go out in this weather and pick the fruit and vegetables so they can be sent in as well.

EGGS are an ongoing issue. TOMATOES there are some signs of some relief with prices expected to come back this week, Red Grapes are still going, but White Grapes have finished, we will have to wait for USA fruit to come through.

The cold wet weather is slowing the growing times considerably, but we will try and keep you informed as much as possible.

A lot of these issues is caused by the weather now a lot colder, with night temperatures dropping considerably the ground is taking a lot longer to warm to those optimum growing temperatures, especially if the ground becomes waterlogged.

Mushrooms have settled down a bit, Melons are better, and supply will improve once the weather settles down.

All stone fruit is done, USA fruit will be through by the end of this week or early next week at this stage. Strawberries are on the improve with Wanneroo now starting, Blueberries have slowed, and prices have risen.

Australian Asparagus is still going, Kiwi fruit both green and yellow are in, Avocadoes are in good supply.

Large Royal Blues are very short, we are trying to source the largest available, but they still are not as good as we all would like, most of potatoes are in good supply and we are seeing new season onions coming through as well.

We now have a reasonable supply of coloured bunch beetroot available; Jerusalem Artichokes are now in good supply as is Celeriac.

New season Pink Ladies, Granny Smith, Galas and Golden Delicious are in, no Fuji’s yet.

Our Manjimup Truffle grower has advised that season has started, and supply is looking good, these are done on a pre-order so let us know your requirements.

So, there is some positives on supply, now.

Dried Fruit slices now back in stock, Eden Towers are supplying Exotic Mushrooms with a good array of varieties.

There are always issues in winter so please keep in contact with us and talk to Ryan, Jono or Emma who will be more than happy to help.

Please also be aware we do stock a range of Browne’s milk, we are stocking the core range, but if there is anything you need, please ask.

We are receiving great reviews with the implementation of our new online ordering system, just be careful when entering part kgs, especially herbs, please enter as 0.250 which will then make it 250 grams, you must put the zero then the point, it is a great system and if anyone needs a hand, please do not hesitate to ask any of our staff.

On another note, we are receiving a lot of late orders, even from sites that close in the afternoon, please make sure you place your orders as early as possible to ensure delivery and are delivered on time.

With supply of fruit and Vegetables, there is always something and we may think things are going ok, but it does change very quickly.

All areas, Monday through to Saturday.  PLEASE REMEMBER $100.00 minimum order as of 1^st July 2022.

Online orders only for SUNDAYS & Public Holidays (Minimum $300.00) and this will continue for all Sundays and Public Holidays, if you do not normally get an order on a Sunday and need a large order let us know as a lot of people forget to change the delivery date and we assume the orders are for Monday.
