Well, That’s Another Christmas Done and Dusted !!!

On the upside most of the sites have said they have had an extremely busy Christmas, New Year period!!

Apples are probably going to be the worst with supply slowing and prices rising, new season are not due until end of February, we have had some major shortages due to the effect of the extreme hot weather we had prior to Christmas, Coriander was short, but coming back online, Italian Parsley still short and expensive, Asparagus was but has improved, Carnarvon has started, but it is expensive. A lot of the issues was caused by where Christmas fell in the middle of the week, so freight was severely disrupted, and picking was not done on the public holidays.

Stone fruit is in great supply, with good supplies of Peaches, Nectarines, Apricots and Plums.  Mangoes are everywhere, local Grapes have started, Cherries are in, so the great fruit times are here, and Figs are in as well!

We now have a good supply of Coloured bunch Beetroot available; Medley Tomatoes are back in stock, and we are seeing a good supply of Heirloom Tomatoes – Finally!

We are seeing some damage to Lettuces as they did get burnt in the extreme heat, Spinach was unavailable for a short time, but back online now, Mushrooms have tightened up in supply, but we are getting enough to get through.

Dried Fruit slices now back in stock, Eden Towers are supplying Exotic Mushrooms with a good array of varieties.

Please also be aware we do stock a range of Browne’s milk, we are stocking the core range, but if there is anything you need, please ask.

We are receiving great reviews with the implementation of our new online ordering system, just be careful when entering part kgs, especially herbs, please enter as 0.250 which will then make it 250 grams, you must put the zero then the point, it is a great system and if anyone needs a hand, please do not hesitate to ask any of our staff.

On another note, we are receiving a lot of late orders, even from sites that close in the afternoon, please make sure you place your orders as early as possible to ensure delivery and are delivered on time.

With supply of fruit and Vegetables, there is always something and we may think things are going ok, but it does change very quickly.

All areas, Monday through to Saturday.  REMEMBER $100.00 minimum order.

Online orders only for SUNDAYS & Public Holidays (Minimum $300.00) and this will continue for all Sundays and Public Holidays, if you do not normally get an order on a Sunday and need a large order let us know as a lot of people forget to change the delivery date and we assume the orders are for Monday.
